San Lorenzo's leadership landscape begins to take shape ahead of extraordinary elections

The institutional body has until April 6 to provide the relevant observations and confirm that all lists comply with the current statute to compete in the elections on May 30.

The electoral roll to be used on this occasion will be the same one that was enabled in December 2023, which means that approximately 40,000 members are eligible to vote.

After several negotiations and movements on Avenida La Plata at 1700, the deadline for the submission of lists was met, and it has been confirmed who will compete in the 'Cyclone's' elections.

According to what was learned by the Argentine News Agency, there will be a total of five lists presented in this preliminary stage, marking a wide variety of options that demonstrates the political division the club has been going through for several years.

Among the options available to the members, the 'New Generation' space made the initial move with the binomial formed by Nicolás Papasso and Ángel Gras, being one of the new political faces emerging in Boedo.

For its part, the 'Order and Progress Sanlorencist' group will once again fight with Marcelo Culotta at the head, accompanied by Juan Manuel Campos; it should be remembered that Culotta comes from a previous outstanding election where he obtained second place.

Similarly, the 'Return to San Lorenzo' list once again confirmed its presence with the formula César Francis-Daniel De Florian, consolidating its trajectory in the political life of the Cyclone.

The electoral spectrum is completed by 'Move Boedo Move', which postulates Manuel Agote and Leonardo Della Bittaco as an emerging option compared to the 2023 elections.

Finally, 'San Lorenzo in March', the current administration with some changes and surprises, was the last sector to register its candidacy at the headquarters, led by Sergio Costantino as a presidential candidate alongside Cipriano Pommies.

The San Lorenzo Electoral Board has begun the process of reviewing the endorsements and documentation of the five groups presented.

The new government that is elected will have an exceptional mandate, as its term will extend until December 2027 to complete the period that originally corresponded to the presidency of Marcelo Moretti, who was removed from his office due to an acephaly at the end of 2025.
